"Oh, yes you are, Captain!...Frauline."

Last night I pulled out one of my old favorites...The Sound of Music.  Within the first scene I was tearing up, remembering traveling all over Salzburg with my parents when I was 13.  We went on the Sound of Music tour and we can point out different scenes where we have actually been to the places they are at in the movie!  We went to the church they get married in, the gazebo Leisel dances in, etc.  It was a great time for the three of us and I will never forget those memories. 

I really listened to the songs this time through and even though I grew up singing them...(I seriously have been watching this movie since I was about 3...), I heard them in a new light.  I saw the struggle of their family losing a loved one; of a dad trying to find his role in his own home and of a girl who was trying so hard to do what God wanted her to.  It really is a classic and I think everyone can identify with it on some level.

What will this day be like? I wonder.

What will my future be? I wonder.

It could be so exciting to be out in the world, to be free

My heart should be wildly rejoicing

When you wake up -- Wake Up!

I have confidence in confidence alone

Besides which you see I have confidence in me!
