All About BDT

I prefer life in lists. Therefore...

Things that make me tick:
1. Food. Love it all. I'm almost six feet tall so I have a large expanse for my weight to cover...I intend to use it all. That's my excuse for consuming the amount of food that I eat.

2. Fashion (of any kind.) I appreciate all kinds of style. I have a very ecclectic grouping of clothing and I like it that way. I dress according to mood...sometimes completely disregarding occassion.

3. Family and Friends. I have an excellent family. My family is well versed in laughing despite pain, forgiving despite feeling and loving despite circumstance. We have made it through a lot together and we know how to have fun. Anyone who knows me will tell you I value family above all else.

I care very little about most people. Until I love you...and then I care about you ALOT. I have a very black and white stance for the rule of friendships...I have friends because they are good people...not so I can collect people. My attitude is definitely quality vs. quantity. And once you're a friend, I'll be your best friend...I promise. :)

4. Faith. My faith has soared, plateaued and plummeted over the last few years. Not always in that order and sometimes I repeat the same step over and over...and over again. I have learned that I have to keep my faith the same way I keep my body. I feed it, nurture it, take care of it. Or else it gets out of shape. And just like I can't constantly compare myself to people around me, I can't compare my faith to others either. Being stuck on what other people did and thought just about killed the "church" experience for me during my college years. Thankfully, I learned it's my life, my relationship, my faith. I am solely responsible. :)

5. Fhusband. All the other items started with, "F," I felt bad breaking the mold. But, last but not least is my husband. :) We were married June of 2010 and I am so thankful to have him in my life. I am learning a lot about marriage and truly loving someone and it is very rewarding. More about "us" on another page. ;)
